We are living in a world where the gap between the rich and the poor is as the heaven and the hell.
BBC reported a family of eight in Kenya lives upon an income less than 6 $US dollar per month. The food for the family is constantly scarce. The school uniform for one of their children will cost 3 $US and without uniform the child is not allowed to attend school. It is hard to believe, in our modern society, such kind of poverty is still existing.
On the contrast, some of the rich bankers will have a bonus of millions of dollars. The increased oil price will bring "some minorities" handsome gains of "easy money".
Today, as we had our lunch, I told our children to be grateful for the food on the table and clothes and home we have. Comparing to those poor people, we are so much luckier and our nation is so much blessed.
It is of humanity and charitable cause that the rich shall help the poor. "remember the poor" That "the one who has more will not gather more, and the one who has less will not lack."
Lift is a beautiful journey.....after being Only A mum for almost 20 years, I am looking forward to another 20 years new adventure !

A Worry Trend among Teenagers
This morning our local radio programmer 93.8 fm in its popular "talk back" show broadcasted an irrational topic. The question was addressing to teenagers’ parents, asking them “at what age, the parents will think their teenagers' sex is acceptable”.
That draws some indignant responses from listeners. One of responders David, the father of four teenagers, said the very topic is wrong for what signal will the radio programmer send to send to mass medium? to condone the premature sex? to promote the so call “precaution” remedies for those who are ruining their soul?
It is really worrying trend. According to last year statistics, 1.5 % teenagers had undergone abortion before the ago of 17. The number is increasing steadily. Many teenagers are accepting sex even before they finish secondary school, what are their parents and teachers doing about?
The root of problem lies on core value and family upbringing. As our traditional value has gone downhill fast and social moral standards are no longer in high ground, one can never expect the society to care and look after his/her well-being. Thus the family plays even more important role, the family is where one’s value system formed and reinforced.
Considering the teenagers sex issue, we, as parents all know the teenager sex should totally avoid, not only the premature sex will destroy the children main occupation on their studies and personal development, but also it may bring unwanted pregnancy, which is heavy social burden for teenager’s mum as well as to the society. Whether you view abortion as act of murder or not, the destructive effects of abortion to the teenager are so confounding and deeply hurting. Further more, the premature sex destroys sanity of marriage and sanity of sex. Which parents will not take total defensive role, if they foresee the destruction of evil befalls to their children?
Therefore, it is total irrational for 93.9fm to discuss on the air, it is the most irresponsible social behavior the organization like Media Cop can take.

The Right thing at right time
“To every thing there is season, and at time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
To raise a child is one of life’s toughest, most satisfying and rewarding challenges. However, many parents may lack the necessary skills and knowledge needed to support confident childcare. Somehow, we parents lost of our natural instinct when we are bombarded overwhelming information and advices. Young parents feel never assured and isolated. They ignore or choose to forget their own childhood experience and learning. They are all in the rush.
Rush to teach child to talk, to walk, to read; rush child to 101 enrichment classes, music, painting, drama and speech, gyms, you can just name it; rush child to all kind of activities, concert, Bible action group, Girl scout and boy scouts…. No wonder out timetables are just too full.
Prof David Elkind observed this trend
“Hurried children are forced to take on the physical, psychological and social trappings of adulthood before they are prepared to deal with them. We dress our children in miniature adult costumes, often with designer labels, we expose them to gratuitous sex and violence, and we expect them to cope with an increasingly bewildering social environment- divorce, single parenthood, homosexuality. Through all these pressures, the child senses that it is important for him or her to cope without admitting the confusion and pain that accompanies such changes. Like adults, they are made to feel they must be survivors, and surviving means adjusting- even if the survivors is only six or eight years old.”
Are you one of these parents who are constantly rushing your children? Please quiet down. Give some time for children to grow and they need time. Have you ever thought children need time to grow? They are not brand new computer waiting to be filled into all kinds of data. Their cognitive, physical, emotional and personality development as a whole take all the time of childhood to be developed.
Take time to play, take time to pray, take time to make mistake then correct it take time to enjoy these precious childhood.

MP Baey all for repealing anti-gay law
Quoted from today's Straits Times
"A PEOPLE'S Action Party MP yesterday spoke out against the non-review of the law banning homosexual sex.
Tanjong Pagar GRC MP Baey Yam Keng said if it comes to a vote in Parliament, he would say 'yes' to doing away with the law which makes it illegal for men to have sex with other men.
He was joined by Nominated MP Siew Kum Hong who had previously made public his opposition to Section 377A of the Penal Code which bans homosexual sex.
Both were members of a forum panel yesterday that included gay activist Alex Au, founder of gay media company Fridae Stuart Koe, and Methodist church leader Reverend Yap Kim Hao.
They were discussing the legislation with about 100 participants. When the Home Affairs Ministry proposed changes to the Penal Code last year, it said it would retain the ban on acts of 'gross indecency' between men.
One participant, academic Russell Heng, 56, asked Mr Baey for his position if Parliament took a vote on this issue. He said he would vote to repeal the law, a response which drew loud applause. "
We are really living at perilous time. Though we may not understand all causes of homosexual behaviour, but we do have the clues how God regard it in Roman 1:21-27
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools... for this cause God gave them up into vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. "
I want to repeat what Spiderman said in Spiderman 3 "Everyone has choice to do what is right, everyone has choice to do what is righteous". God's standard is higher than ours. Let us not to take it lightly of God's proclamation. Let us pray for our children's generation.
