"Our life is not playground, but battle ground"--A W Tozer
My son came home one day with a big smile on his face.
"I am rich! today!" He claimed
"How?" Said I
"I found two dollars on the floor."
Everyday, we give our children two dollars each pocket money for buying food during recess. My son is a good, thrifty boy, often, he uses one dollar and saves the other.
I asked him, "Why didn't return to general office?"
He said "Finders, keepers; losers, weepers."
I was stunned by his remarks. "Is that what you learn in school?"
"No one returns my lost pencil case." He restored.
Now I can see what peer pressure means. We can never assume the seed of righteousness will take root, as there is another force, worldly wisdom always pulling in other direction. Truly it is battle ground. We are fighting with invisible force of this world.
After some talk, he agreed to return the money next day.
The next day, he told me when he returned the money in general office, there was a lady who was visiting the school. She made such remarks "This school is great. I would like to want my son to register in this school."
We ought to be a little light and salt in this world, oughtn't we?
