One of my neighbours, a mother of two grown up children, shared with her experience as "cycle of life":
Her parents migrated to Singapore four years ago as a way to seek a better life, she and her brother were the first generation of Singapore citizens. She had never realized how privileged and how lucky as individual till she visited India much later.
For the first 25 years, she said she "spoiled" herself; the next 25 years, she devoted her time to the family and to rise up two children. Now, as her husband being posted to India, she wishes to use next 25 years to give back to society, to do something for the Indian children. It is like "cycle of life".
I was touched by her perception of such idea. Indeed, our life, very often, are like cycles. The words we say, the things we do, will eventually come back to us.
It was delight to share with another mother her life experience as a mother. I never fail to learn and gain inspiration from them.
Mothers are cleverest human beings in the world.
